Program Description

The CMAA Instructor-Guided program is a 220-hour online program led by a WMTC instructor. You complete your coursework at your own pace through the online learning portal, and attend one live instructor-hosted class session per month via Microsoft Teams — with real instruction, real interaction, and real accountability, all from the comfort of your home or anywhere with a WiFi connection.

Live sessions are held on the first Wednesday of each month and alternate between a morning slot (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Pacific) and an evening slot (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Pacific), so you can find a time that fits your schedule. You can register for each session through your student portal.

Get your foot in the door and build the confidence you need for a career in today's busy medical settings. You will cover front office operations, patient scheduling, insurance verification, medical records, billing basics, HIPAA compliance, and professional communication.

Upon completion, students are eligible to sit for the NHA Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) national certification exam — a credential recognized by employers across all healthcare settings.

WMTC is partnered with NHA. The curriculum, online experience, and certification support are provided by one of the nation's leading healthcare credentialing institutions.
