Our 90-hour self-paced Medical Billing & Coding program gives you the foundational knowledge and practical skills to launch a career in healthcare administration — entirely online, on your own schedule.
You will learn to accurately assign medical codes using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, process insurance claims, verify coverage, and ensure healthcare providers receive proper reimbursement. The curriculum also covers HIPAA compliance, electronic health records, and medical terminology.
Because this program is fully online and self-paced, you can begin immediately upon enrollment and work through the material at a pace that fits your life. There are no scheduled class sessions — just structured, self-directed coursework you complete on your own timeline.
Upon completion, you will be eligible to sit for national certification exams and pursue entry-level roles across a wide range of healthcare settings.

Upon completing the program, you will be eligible to sit for the NHA Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) exam. The CBCS is a nationally recognized credential that validates your competency in medical billing and coding and is accepted by employers across the country.
WMTC provides on-site exam administration for enrolled students. Exam fees are not included in tuition.

Enroll any time and begin immediately — work through the curriculum on your own schedule. Please allow 24 business hours for your account to be set up after enrollment. You will receive an invitation to log in to your NHA account by email once your account is ready. When registering with NHA you will be asked when you plan to complete your program — you are welcome to enter any date, as this is simply an NHA reporting tool and does not affect your access or timeline.
